Description

One-row manual seeder SMK-1 for sowing small vegetable seeds
 
Seeder SMK-1 is used for row sowing of small-seeded vegetable crops in greenhouses and in the open ground.
 
Technical data
The seeder is a welding construction of a stamped steel profile. Its height is 170 mm, the length is 180 mm, the width is 170 mm.
 
Design
The seeder is equipped sowing drum, with 10 holes diameter 4mm, sowing pitch is 5cm, perfect for example for radish.
 
Thre are  extra 8 sowing drums  available for the SMK-1 seeder:
 
 
1. 16/3 for onion, carrot, spacing 3cm
2. 10/3 forcarrot, cabbage, sorrel, parsley, tomato, alfalfa, radish (up to 3 mm, spacing 5cm
3. 10/4 for radish (from 3 mm), coriander, red beet, dill, spinach, spacing 5cm
4. 6/4  for pepper, tomato, spacing 8cm
5. 6/5 for beetroot, spacing 8cm
6. 6/6 for beetroot, spacing 8cm

The seeder consists of the sowing device case, where seeders section is fastened together with the limiting brush, a roller with the sowing bush and the driving wheels. Sowing hub has holes as wide as the seeds, and the spaces between seeds meets the standarts of sowing seeds of definite crops. The machine includes one sowing hub for sowing seeds of radish, carrot, parsley etc. Also you can purchase a hub for other cultures. Holes in the hub should be made according to the guidelines. To guarantee the reliability of the seeder's work and accuracy of sowing, the seeder is provided with a flip-out seed ejector.
 
The sowing bush of the seeder has pricks, which are made with defined distance. The seeder's complete set also includes a sowing bush forced on a shaft. Principle of operation
The principle of the seeder's functioning is based on the rotation of the sowing hub. The seed of the crop get into its calibrated deepening. The brush stopper leaves in every deepening of sowing hub one seed or few (depending on its regulation) which is thrown down into the furrow by the flip-out ejector of original construction. Density of sowing depends on the space between deepenings in the sowing hub and regulation of the brush stopper.
 
Preparing seeder to work
Define the necessary sowing norm, by attaching the necessary sowing hub to the shaft. Adjust the position of the brush limiter of sowing for the necessary amount of seeds. The sowing norm can be checked and adjusted by rolling of the full seeder on the plane surface.
 
Sowing
Before the sowing, make marks on the row. Sowing is made in a well treated soil by rowing a way with distance between rows according to the crop sowing technology. The soil is rolled up after sowing, and the mulch and watering are performed, if necessary. After works, the sowing seeder must be cleaned of the soil and the seeds.
