Description

Automatic Garlic Planter AGP-3R – 3 Rows, Mechanical Chain System

GARMACH AGP-3R is a 3-row automatic garlic planter manufactured in Poland. It is designed for planting individual garlic cloves that have been separated from the bulbs and prepared before planting. Chains fitted with planting cups collect cloves from the hopper and carry them to the planting units. Operators do not need to place every clove into the feed mechanism by hand.

All three planting units work during the same pass. The metering mechanism is mechanically driven by the planter's ground wheels, without an electronic seed-metering controller. Planting depth, in-row spacing and row spacing can be adjusted within the limits of the selected configuration.

Why Choose the GARMACH AGP-3R?

  • Automatic clove pickup: planting cups collect cloves from the hopper, reducing manual feeding.
  • Three rows per pass: three planting units operate simultaneously.
  • Mechanical ground-wheel drive: the planting mechanism does not require an electronic metering system.
  • Adjustable settings: configure in-row spacing, planting depth and row spacing within the available machine specification.
  • Planting cup options: select cups suited to the size of your graded cloves.
  • Manufacturer support: technical configuration is agreed with GARMACH, with local sales support available in selected markets.

How Does the Automatic Chain Planter Work?

As the tractor moves forward, cups attached to the chains lift garlic cloves from the hopper. The cloves pass through delivery tubes into furrows opened by the planting coulters and are subsequently covered with soil. The mechanical transmission determines the spacing between planting positions along the row.

For consistent planting: separate, clean and grade the cloves before loading them. Cup size should match the planting material. As with other automatic planters, clove uniformity, preparation and field conditions affect feeding consistency and placement.

Choosing the Right Configuration

Before recommending an AGP-3R, we normally check the following:

  1. Crop and planting area: what will you plant, and on how many hectares or acres?
  2. Plant spacing: required distance between rows and between cloves.
  3. Planting material: typical size range of the graded cloves.
  4. Tractor: make, model and rear three-point hitch details.
  5. Destination: country and town, ZIP/postal code or nearest delivery point.

Cup selection depends on clove grading. If you intend to plant several clove sizes, ask about additional chain-and-cup sets. Standard equipment, available options and prices are specified in the individual quotation.

Crops: Garlic, Onion Sets and Selected Bulbs

The AGP-3R is primarily a garlic clove planter. Depending on the material and the selected cups and settings, it may also be suitable for onion sets, broad beans (fava beans) and saffron crocus corms. Suitability for other crops should be checked with GARMACH before ordering, especially where seed or bulb shape and susceptibility to damage may affect feeding.

AGP Automatic Planter or MGP Manual-Feed Planter?

The AGP-3R picks up planting material automatically from its hopper. On GARMACH MGP belt-type planters, an operator places the cloves into the conveyor cups. The AGP reduces manual feeding, while the best choice depends on planting material, labour arrangements and the required field setup.

Frequently Asked Questions About the AGP-3R

Does the operator have to feed each garlic clove by hand?

No. The chain-mounted planting cups pick cloves up from the hopper automatically. Cloves must still be separated and graded before planting.

Can planting spacing and depth be adjusted?

Yes. In-row spacing is adjusted mechanically, while depth and row spacing are adjustable within the range of the selected planter version.

Does the planter need an electronic controller?

No. The planting mechanism uses a mechanical ground-wheel drive.

How do I choose the correct planting cups?

Send the dimensions of your graded cloves, or clear photos of representative cloves alongside a ruler. This helps us assess which cup set may be appropriate.

Will the AGP-3R work with my tractor?

Tell us the tractor make and model and provide rear three-point hitch information. We will check compatibility for the machine configuration being offered.

Can I buy from a dealer in my country?

GARMACH works with independent partners in selected markets. Send us your country and location; we will confirm whether a local sales contact is available or whether the enquiry should be handled directly.

Can you arrange international delivery?

International delivery options can be quoted for many destinations. The available shipping method, price and delivery terms depend on the destination and the supplying party.
